‘We’ll get back’: 24-year-old Leeds player 49ers want to keep drops huge future hint

Tyler Adams has dropped a huge hint he will be at Leeds United next season.

Adams was speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Lade Out Podcast’, where he said ‘we’ll get back there’ when discussing Leeds’ relegation to the Championship.

The 24-year-old missed the final two months of last season through injury and was a huge miss in midfield as Leeds won just two of their last 12 matches, a run which included eight defeats.

Adams is now back at Thorp Arch for pre-season with Leeds but is still yet to return to full training as he continues to recover from that hamstring problem.

That said, Adams has been earmarked as a player San Francisco 49ers Enterprises are desperate to keep and build a team around this season.

Adams drops huge hint he is staying at Leeds

That has not stopped speculation linking him with a move away, though, with Aston Villa, Brighton and West Ham all heavily linked with a move this summer.

However, Adams appears to have dropped a major hint he will still be at Elland Road next season by insisting ‘we’ll get back’ to the Premier League when discussing Leeds’ relegation.

“Sick. For me consistently the best atmosphere in the Prem and that’s not just me saying that because I am a Leeds player, the fans are unreal. I didn’t really know what to expect going into Leeds but it surpassed all my expectations for sure.

“We had pre-season in Australia so I got the call, signed with Leeds, did everything and the next day I am on a flight to Australia for pre-season. You get off the plane and see how many people from Australia are supporting Leeds and there’s a lot of Leeds fan clubs everywhere in the world and I didn’t realise the reach the team had.

“The fans are special, playing at Elland Road is special, it’s obviously a shame we didn’t stay up this season because the fans deserved better for sure. But we’ll get back there.”

This would be a huge boost for Leeds and in particular the supporters, with Adams very much having established himself as a favourite on the terraces.

However, in a transfer window actions always speak louder than words and Adams’ future will remain up in the air until the deadline officially passes.
