Leeds United are supposedly eyeing a move for Newcastle United man Karl Darlow this summer but judging by his latest outing on Monday night – Leeds might want to think again, as a video emerges of his mistake against Rangers.
Darlow, 32, is back at Newcastle this summer where he finds two years left on his contract. But after just 100 games in nine years with the Toon, he is eyeing for a new challenge. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull.
Graham Smyth reported this week that Darlow and Bayern Munich stopper Alexander Nubel are options for Leeds. The Sun say he is rated by Newcastle at a fee of £5m. His form in England’s second tier is certainly convincing.
On Monday, Darlow came on for Loris Karius at half-time at Ibrox. It comes after Miguel Almiron had given the Toon the lead. But a mistake from Darlow, and indeed, Bruno Guimaraes – saw new Rangers star Sam Lammers equalise.
Darlow had possession, under no pressure – but made the strange decision to pass into Guimaraes. The Brazil star had Lammers right behind him, and the new Ibrox striker was sharp. Luckily for Darlow, Harrison Ashby made it 2-1.

Darlow would be a very solid signing. Nubel would be the more-exciting addition, the better recruit. But Nubel is more than likely to remain in Germany with Stuttgart in talks. A move to Leeds makes sense for the Toon stopper.
But he is hardly a goalkeeper that is not prone to the odd mistake. Darlow is known for here and there, producing a clanger. While he and Guimaraes may share the blame here, it was a silly pass to attempt. He should know better.
