The Sun claim Bournemouth are interested in signing Newcastle United goalkeeper Karl Darlow amid reports that Leeds United have internally discussed a move for the Toon man – with a fee of £5m required for the shot-stopper.
Darlow, 32, is back at Newcastle after spending the second half of 22-23 on loan at Hull City in the second tier. He impressed, in a side near the bottom of the table. In 12 games, he kept five clean sheets – conceding just 14 goals.
FLW say Darlow, who has spent nine years at the Toon and clocked up 100 games, is one of four names considered at Elland Road. Along with Rotherham’s Viktor Johansson, Preston’s Freddie Woodman and Fulham’s Marek Rodak.
But the race is hotting up. The Sun say Premier League side Bournemouth want Darlow, with The Toon requesting a fee of £5m for him. Middlesbrough and Blackburn are keen too, but it might prove too expensive for those sides.

Darlow would be a wonderful addition in goal for any Championship side. He is a Premier League goalkeeper and has proven that over the years, playing 52 times. But it is his stats in the Championship that really catch the eye.
Playing 152 times in the second tier, he has conceded just 190 goals – keeping 48 clean sheets. Leeds may need to sign a new goalkeeper. Illan Meslier is being linked with the exit door. Joel Robles is technically, a free agent now.
He has been invited back to pre-season, as has Adam Forshaw – but it will be up to the new boss to decide what the club do with Forshaw and Robles. A new goalkeeper is likely then, and £5m for Darlow seems like decent business.
