Dan James put a difficult couple of weeks behind him by scoring from just inside his own half for Leeds United on Monday night, as the Whites secured a late 3-1 win over Hull City at Elland Road.
During the international break, 26-year-old James scored in in Wales’ win over Estoia after becoming a Father for the second time – but then elation turned to despair, as Wales were knocked out by Poland.

It comes after a frustrating night for Leeds, in which Fabio Carvalho cancelled out Sam Byram’s opener – after Summerville had ran past players before having a shot parried. Summerville is back to his best now.

It comes after scoring a gorgeous goal against Watford in the 2-2 draw, which saw Watford manager Tom Cleverley describe him as the best player in the Championship. Then, he won a late penalty against Hull.
Instead of allowing designated penalty taker Joel Piroe to take it, Summerville took the ball off of him – explaining why he chose to pull rank. He sent Ryan Allsopp the wrong way, putting the ball into the net.
Speaking to LUTV after the match, winger James raved about Summerville in his post-match comments. He said the Dutch ace was unbelievable against Watford -dragging Leeds through the clash against Hull.
“Cree was unbelievable the other night. He dragged us through it and he’s done it again tonight. To get the penalty, step up and send the keeper, put it down the middle, credit to him,” James told LUTV.

Summerville had actually gone on a run of six Championship games without a goal or an assist for Leeds. Leeds need the Dutchman to be at his best. In the last two games, her certainly has been just that.
With six Championship matches left to play, you would imagine that Leeds need to win at least four of them to stand any chance of finishing in the top two. Summerville is the key to doing that right now.
Leeds now have a few days to recover before taking on in-form Coventry City on Saturday afternoon away from home. The FA Cup semi-finalists will by no means, an easy opponent. A huge clash, again.
