David Prutton has shared his prediction for Leeds United’s trip to Huddersfield Town today.
The Whites face short turnaround from Wednesday night’s narrow FA Cup defeat at Chelsea with a West Yorkshire derby where they will be looking to make it 10 league wins in a row.
Due to the scheduling of Leeds’ fixtures, Farke has always had one eye on this afternoon’s match and so handed rests to a number of key players in midweek, meaning the squad should be relatively fresh.
However, they will be up against a Huddersfield side who will be right up for it given the events of the previous meeting at Elland Road, and it being Andre Breitenreiter’s first home match in charge.
Writing in his latest weekly predictions column for Sky Sports, Prutton says he just cannot back against Leeds at the moment despite Breitenreiter making a winning start to his reign at Watford.

He said: “That was a fabulous win for Huddersfield Town and Andre Breitenreiter last weekend at Watford. To get off to a good start in this league as a new manager is so important, and it stopped them sliding into the bottom three as well.
“This is a tough proposition, though. Leeds just do not look like they can drop points right now. Even fate was on their side it seemed against Leicester last week. Can they make it 10 wins in a row? It’s hard to back against. Prediction: Huddersfield 0-2 Leeds.“
It will be interesting to see how Huddersfield set up as Breitenreiter is a manager who likes to play on the front foot, but Leeds showed what they can do on the counter-attack back in October.
Having the likes of Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville slightly more refreshed should stand Leeds in good stead, as they completely tore apart the Terriers last time out.
Despite the run they have been on, Leeds can ill afford to slip up here really due to the form of Ipswich Town, who are only behind Farke’s side on goal difference.
