Leeds United are an exciting, young side full of technical quality and when it clicks – big clubs often start to circle around the best and that is no different here, with Tottenham set to test our resolve.

A team that has Illan Meslier, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Ethan Ampadu, Willy Gnonto, Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville. A group of young stars that are all key in our push for instant promotion.

All of which, that will attract suitors in the coming weeks and months, if they haven’t already. Archie Gray is another name that can be added to that list. He has been linked with some of Europe’s best.

Now, a new report from The Mail this month states that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham are long-term admirers of the midfielder. They are weighing up a bid for Gray – but one that will surface in the summer.

Perhaps, which division Leeds find themselves in will determine not only what Gray decides to do – but the cost of a potential transfer, as well. Gray has a contract at Elland Road until the summer of 2025.

Tottenham to test Leeds resolve over Archie Gray in summer

Leeds cannot do anything about that deal until he turns 18, in March. But, the Whites are confident that he will sign a new deal when he does finally turn 18. Remarkable, given he looks like a seasoned pro.

Spurs are an exciting side under an attacking manager, in a free-flowing side that allow young players to blossom. It could be perfect for Gray. But right now, surely, his best move is to keep playing at Leeds.

It is unclear how much Leeds would want for Gray but reports in the summer suggested that clubs may have to pay around £50m to land the England U20 star. That fee is only going to rise, from now on in.

Leeds will do well to keep Gray at Elland Road, and instead it is likely that Leeds will be looking to raid Spurs instead – and capture Joe Rodon permanently. A player that has been impressed by Gray.
