It has not worked out for Kalvin Phillips since leaving Leeds, and while Raphinha has shown plenty of promise on the pitch – the Brazilian has often been the subject of criticism from Barcelona fans.

Phillips has endured a dismal start to life on loan at West Ham, partly to blame for Bournemouth’s goal during a 1-1 draw and then the one who lost possession for the third of Manchester United’s 3-0 win.

It comes after struggling for game time at Manchester City. Raphinha is a different story, with both stars sold during Jesse Marsch‘s first summer at the club. He joined Barcelona for a fee believed to be £55m.

He’s had a hand in 33 goals in 70 games since. A solid effort, after describing his move to Barcelona as a dream come true. But, he’s often been the source of criticism – with fans once baffled in 2022-23.

He has 11 goals and assist in 20 games this season. But, it has long been believed that Barcelona will have to cash in on Raphinha to solve Financial Fairplay concerns. SPORT report this in their latest story.

Tottenham table £60m bid for Raphinha after 2022 Leeds exit

They claim that Raphinha has interest from Liverpool, who are on the lookout for a long-term Mo Salah replacement. The feeling is that after Jurgen Klopp announced his exit, Salah will not be far behind.

However, what was not only blatant – but quite the surprise – in the report, is that Ange Postecoglou’s side have already submitted an offer for Raphinha. A deal worth £60m. A move that may suit Raphinha.

His best form came in England, and he’d get to play in attacking side alongside his Brazil teammates Emerson Royal and Richarlison. It would suit him, if Barca are set to sell. He could be on his way back.
