Manor Solomon produced his best performance in a Leeds United shirt on Saturday afternoon with a goal and two assists as he double his tally of goal involvements for the entire campaign.
Ahead of the game, Israel star Solomon had scored only two goals for Leeds in the last-gasp win against Swansea and then an assist for Mateo Joseph, in a 2-0 win over Hull City at Elland Road in September.
Daniel Farke recalled Solomon to the starting XI on Saturday as he looks to give Solomon the necessary game time to get back to his best, after a nightmare 18-month spell with injuries – even while at Leeds.
The Tottenham man managed just six competitive outings following his move to Spurs before tearing his meniscus. It saw Solomon miss 12 months of football, and has since had a few complications at Leeds.
Tottenham fans want Leeds to sign Manor Solomon permanently
The pocket-sized winger though is getting better and better in a Leeds shirt. Leigh Bromby feels Leeds have not seen the best of Solomon yet, with Solomon himself admitting he is still far from his best form.
But on Saturday, Solomon scored Leeds’ fourth in a 4-0 win over Oxford United after laying on assists for Dan James and Brenden Aaronson. He now has six goals and assists, in less than 750 minutes of football.
Tottenham fans responded to the news that Solomon had laid on three goals and assists on Saturday and many are desperate for Leeds to sign him permanently. Indeed, Spurs fans think he has “found his level”.
Plenty of Spurs fans are hopeful that as he shines for Leeds, his transfer fee will rise and hand manager Ange Postecoglou more money to spend. One Tottenham fan wrote: “Getting that transfer fee, let’s go”.
Another said “hopefully they buy him permanently in the summer”. It was a constant theme among Spurs fans on the weekend, with another taking to X to say: “Nice. Let’s hope we can offload him soon, then.”
Forget next summer when Solomon’s loan ends, one Tottenham fan is hoping Leeds make a permanent move in January: “You want to make the loan permanent in January?”
The trend continued with another supporter saying “great, now we can sell him” and another Spurs fan urged Solomon to “stay there permanently”. He has a £54,000-a-week deal at Spurs until June 2028.
Why Manor Solomon is actually Leeds’ best-performing winger
Of all the positions in the Leeds squad in terms of depth and quality, the options out wide are the best. Four Premier League-standard options in Solomon, Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto and Largie Ramazani.
It means Farke is having to rotate between the quartet, with £10m summer signing Ramazani failing to start of late because of a recent injury. Harsh, but that is the issue with the heated competition out wide.
| Name | Games (Starts) | Minutes | Goals | Assists | Minutes per G+A |
| Wilfried Gnonto | 22 (19) | 1554 | 4 | 5 | 172.7 |
| Brenden Aaronson | 22 (20) | 1686 | 6 | 2 | 210.3 |
| Dan James | 16 (12) | 1067 | 5 | 2 | 152.4 |
| Manor Solomon | 15 (7) | 745 | 3 | 3 | 124.2 |
| Largie Ramazani | 13 (6) | 509 | 3 | 1 | 127.3 |
But as stated above, it is actually Solomon that is producing the best numbers following Saturday’s win. He is producing a goal or an assist every 124 minutes, just ahead of Ramazani with 127 minutes.
Against Stoke on Boxing Day, Farke is likely to rotate his options again given Wilfried Gnonto – who has the most goals and assists of Leeds’ four wingers – benched during the win against Oxford on Saturday.
