After a brilliant week, Leeds United sit in 16th place in the Premier League table, two points above the drop zone. December’s remaining fixtures are favourable, and Tony Pulis has had his say.
Leeds have secured four points from their last two games against Chelsea and Liverpool and in turn, has saved Daniel Farke from the sack. Gary Neville thinks the 49ers will have ripped up plans to sack Farke.
Daniel Farke’s job is safe for now, can he get a result against Brentford? 🔮
Mick McCarthy believes the rumours were ridiculous, anyway. Leeds now face three winnable games against Brentford on Sunday, Crystal Palace at Elland Road a week later, and a weakened Sunderland.
There is light at the end of the tunnel for Farke and by the end of 2025, he might have just clawed himself out of the sack race. But Leeds will almost definitely remain in a fight against relegation until late on.

Tony Pulis names the one thing that will keep Leeds United up
The last few weeks have shown Farke can be the man, the strikers can score goals and have done so regularly in the last few games, and that Jaka Bijol and Lucas Perri can be good signings in defence.
It has come together in the last week and Leeds have to build on that. But Tony Pulis told The Managers podcast that only one thing has the power to be the difference in keeping Leeds up – Elland Road.
“Elland Road is, the supporters make it such a tough place to go. The players have got to play to the crowd and be in people’s faces. The last couple of games, they’ve really been up for the challenge.
“Got after people, that brings energy to the ground, to the players on the pitch. You don’t get a more passionate crowd than at Elland Road, their results and future depend on what they do at Elland Road.”
How many points can Leeds get from the next five games? 🔮
The Leeds fans asked, Daniel Farke listened, results arrived
The issue Farke has at Leeds, and especially this season in a relegation battle, is that it is absolutely crucial he keeps fans on side. Leeds stuck with Jesse Marsch when he had lost the fans, and it resulted in disaster.
If Leeds are to stay up, the fans must be listened to, and Farke has to keep them happy. Leeds fans called for a change in formation, more proactiveness on the bench, and changes. Farke gave them that at City.
At half-time in the 3-2 loss, he created a whole new Leeds, and it almost produced a comeback. Chelsea couldn’t cope, and Liverpool were arguably lucky to get a point. With both in unison, Leeds will stay up.
If Farke listens and keeps fans on side, the fans will repay him by providing the biggest weapon the club has to offer, as Pulis says. The Elland Road atmosphere. As long as fans are happy, Farke is happy.
