Leeds United return to action following the international break with a difficult trip to Millwall.

The Whites will be looking to kick start their season into action upon the resumption of club football again, with the uncertainty of the transfer window now firmly behind them.

So far under Daniel Farke, Leeds have picked up just six points from their opening five matches and could not have picked a much tougher game to get back underway with.

Leeds have notoriously struggled in matches away at Millwall in years gone by, with their last win at the Den coming in November 2012, a run that includes five defeats in six matches.

Millwall have also enjoyed a somewhat inconsistent start to the season having accumulated seven points so far, with manager Gary Rowett having been on the end of some criticism from supporters.

Prutton predicts Millwall vs Leeds

Writing in his latest EFL predictions column for Sky Sports, former Leeds midfielder David Prutton believes Millwall will come out on top on Sunday, despite the increased ‘stability’ at Elland Road.

He said: “Millwall have had a couple of decent results in a row now to ease the criticism being aimed at Gary Rowett. They will undoubtedly be there or thereabouts again this season.

“Leeds will probably be more relieved than any other club that the transfer window is shut, and Daniel Farke can concentrate on what they have. Will that stability help at The Den? I’m not too sure for now. Home win. Prediction: Millwall 2-1 Leeds.

With Millwall without their first choice goalkeeper and captain, Leeds will not have a better chance to end their hoodoo at the Den.

All is not currently well in South London and Leeds should have an extremely strong squad at the weekend with four new signings available for full debuts, and players returning from injury.
