Archie Gray has put pen to paper on a long-term contract at Leeds United to end any speculation over his future – and the likes of Joe Rodon and Crysencio Summerville have reacted on Instagram.
Gray, 17, has excelled for Leeds this season. Making his senior debut on the opening day of the season, he has gone on to play 28 times in all competitions for the Yorkshire club – in midfield, and in defence.
His form has not gone unnoticed. Daniel Farke has constantly tried to keep Gray’s feet on the ground but has praised him too, especially after he was switched from midfield to the right of the defence.
Those in the Premier League have kept a close eye, too. Most recently, Tottenham were keeping an eye on the England U20 man – while Manchester United and Liverpool had also spent time watching him.
But now, Gray is set to stay at Leeds. Two months ahead of his 18th birthday, the youngster has signed a contract until June 2028 at Elland Road. He took to Instagram to underline his delight at the contract.

It does come as a bit of a surprise given the original belief was that Gray would have to wait until he was 18, in March, before signing a new deal. But Leeds have confirmed a new deal is now in place for him.
Suitors are still likely to keep tabs and pursue a deal in due course, especially if Leeds do not go up this season. But still only 17, you would imagine Gray will feel he has all the time in the world at the moment.
For now at least, Leeds fans can enjoy him and his sparkling performances from the right. Both Rodon and Summerville were among those to respond to his Instagram post, after his deal was announced.
