‘Sometimes I think how?’… Glen Kamara says he is blown away by what Leeds United teammate does on the pitch

Leeds United midfielder Glen Kamara says he cannot believe some of the things Georginio Rutter can do during matches.

Kamara was speaking on the latest episode of the Official Leeds United Podcast, where he was asked about Rutter both on and off the pitch, following their interview together last week.

Rutter was the match-winner in Leeds’ 1-0 win over Leicester City eight days ago and so spoke alongside Kamara on Sky Sports post-match, with the latter having been named man of the match.

But for much of the season, it has been Rutter winning all the rave reviews among Leeds supporters. He is now arguably the best player in the Championship.

On top of the three goals and five assists he has so far, Rutter has also created the most big chances in the division with 14, way ahead of those in second place, who have seven.

Kamara says he is often left wondering just how Rutter is so talented at just 21-years-old, and is excited to see how he continues developing in a Leeds shirt.

He said: “On the pitch, player. He’s a good player. He’s still so young, sometimes I think how? He’s strong, he’s big, he’s fast, he’s skilful and he’s not scared to take risks in some areas.

“Maybe sometimes he needs to release it a bit quicker, but he takes risks. He’s such a talented footballer and it works. He’s a good player and I enjoy playing with him. I can’t wait to see what he keeps on doing.”

Rutter really is a class above most players in this division with his dribbling and passing. Most defences at this level just don’t know how to handle him.

He could easily end this season with double figures for both goals and assists, but it is his all round general play which is so impressive.

Hopefully Leeds can get promoted this season so we can watch him go and thrive in the Premier League, which he did not get chance to do after his January arrival.
