Earlier today, Joe Rodon’s brother sent a hilarious message to Connor Roberts amid reports that Leeds United were closing in on a deal for the Burnley defender. Now, he has taken to Twitter again.
Roberts, 28, is expected to be announced by Leeds. The defender has agreed a move and was on his way to Elland Road for a medical ahead of a half-season loan. Rodon’s brother Sam sent him a Tweet.
But that was around midday that these reports emerged and now here we are, inside the last four hours of the window – and no confirmation has emerged regarding the 54-time Wales star at Elland Road.
Roberts has been struggling for game time at Burnley. It is a move that he will have wanted to happen. Leeds should still get it done. But as is the way with us, anything can happen especially on deadline day.
So much so, that it has tempted Rodon’s brother to take to Twitter again. He joked that he has still not heard from Roberts about the cup of tea he asked about earlier, before calling Roberts the “Welsh Cafu”.
Joe Rodon’s brother sends another Tweet to Connor Roberts
Rodon’s brother is renowned as a character on social media and he has quite clearly taken to being a Leeds fan since the Tottenham defender joined us on loan. Indeed, he even follows LeedsUnited.News.
Hopefully, a deal will be announced in due course. Leeds certainly need Roberts with the Whites lacking in options in defence after waving goodbye to Luke Ayling, Djed Spence and Leo Hjelde during January.
