Roy Keane says Leeds United are doing something that impacts the entire Premier League

The second international break gives Leeds United fans the chance to analyse where Daniel Farke’s side are after a considerable chunk of the season now completed.

Almost a fifth of Leeds‘ Premier League matches have been played, and eight points have been secured after a tough run of matches that has included three of the division’s six Champions League sides.

Everton are rejuvenated, Bournemouth are sitting in fourth and pushing for Europe, and Fulham away was always going to be tough for a side that historically struggles in London. Leeds have been competitive.

While Leeds are in 15th, Farke’s men remain above the point-a-game curve required to avoid relegation from the Premier League. It is a good start, with winnable games against Burnley and West Ham next.

Roy Keane says newly-promoted sides are causing PL panic

Alan Shearer said that the trend of promoted sides being relegated would change, and in Leeds and Sunderland, that looks like it is happening. If games finished at 90 minutes, Leeds would have 11 points.

Danny Murphy performed an instant u-turn and said Leeds would stay up. That came after Ally McCoist changed his mind about Leeds’ survival chances, and Troy Deeney has changed his mind on Daniel Farke.

Now, Leeds have earned some rare praise from Roy Keane on Stick To Football’s latest episode. Keane believes the form of Leeds, Sunderland and Burnley are causing other Premier League teams to panic.

“The pressure of the Premier League is extreme on a manager, whether that be the top or the bottom. We have to watch in the next few months as the promoted teams look like they have a chance,” Keane said.

“In the last few years, everyone was thinking they would go back down. Definitely more panic at clubs such as Forest or Brentford,” Keane continued. Already, Forest and West Ham have sacked their gaffers.

Predicting Leeds’ next four games before November break

The October break is currently taking precedence, but as it was between the September and October breaks, Leeds have four Premier League games to play after the current break, and before November.

It starts with a trip to Burnley, the worst of the three promoted sides. Despite an inspired Jaidon Anthony, Burnley have accumulated just four points and sit 18th. Leeds go to Turf Moor for a proper battle.

Then, Leeds return home to face West Ham, another game Leeds will feel is winnable despite the decision to sack Graham Potter and hire Nuno Espirito Santo. After that, tricky away games at Forest and Brighton.

Leeds go to Brighton first, who have been largely unpredictable this season, before a trip to Forest. It will see Leeds take on a Forest side with Ange Postecoglou under pressure, winless in his opening seven.
