Daniel Farke has confirmed Jaidon Anthony ‘rolled his ankle’ during Leeds United’s win over QPR on Wednesday night.
Farke was speaking in his post-match press conference in which he was asked about the performance of Anthony, in what was his first start for the club.
Since arriving from Bournemouth on deadline day, Anthony had been reduced to four appearances from the bench in the month of September.

After impressing in those cameos, Anthony was handed his first chance to impress from the start against QPR at Elland Road, in which he looked bright, particularly in the first half.
However, Anthony’s impact on the game appeared to dwindle somewhat after a challenge from his own man Pascal Struijk late on in the first half.
Farke confirms Anthony injury after Leeds win
Farke was pleased with the performance of Anthony on his full debut but has confirmed he was suffering with an ankle problem during the second half.
He said: “Good. No pre-season with us. While away since he started the last time with Bournemouth. Solid first half. Involved in many good scenes. Rolled his ankle a little and felt some pain in the second half.”

Leeds will need to assess the extent of the issue in the next 48 hours, though with such a short turnaround until the next game, it feels unlikely he will start.
Farke is already without Wilfried Gnonto but does still have Dan James to call on, as well as the option to bring Patrick Bamford in and move Georginio Rutter over to the right.
With a two week international break to come after Saturday’s match with Bristol City, there will be little point risking him if he is not 100 per cent fit.
