Daniel Farke is expected to be confirmed as the new Leeds United manager in the coming days.
According to the Guardian, Farke has agreed terms to take charge at Elland Road to finally bring an end to the club’s pursuit for a new boss.
Leeds had been hoping to officially appoint Farke after receiving approval from the EFL regarding the full takeover of the club from San Francisco 49ers Enterprises, which was agreed over three weeks ago.
However, with that having not arrived as they had hoped this week, they may now change their tact and confirm him before so he is in place for the start of pre-season.
The players who did not feature on international duty in June are set to return to Thorp Arch on Monday and if reports are indeed correct, may be greeted by Farke and the coaching staff he will bring to West Yorkshire with him.
Farke to bring three coaching staff with him to Leeds
As per the report from the Guardian, Farke is set to be joined at Leeds by Edmund Riemer, Christopher John and Chris Domogalla once he is officially confirmed by the club.
The quartet have all worked together at Norwich City, Krasnodar and Borussia Monchengladbach, with all three clearly trusted by Farke.
Riemer is set to be named as assistant head coach, while John will take the role of first team coach. Domogalla, meanwhile, will be Leeds’ new head of performance.
Their most successful spell together came at Norwich where they twice lifted the Championship title, which they will be looking to make a hattrick this season.
Domogalla is renowned for his ability to improve players’ fitness, which Leeds will certainly require this summer given the way they have dropped off since Marcelo Bielsa’s exit.
