Leeds United are set to confirm the appointment of Daniel Farke as their new manager today.
That is according to the Athletic, who report confirmation of his arrival is set to go through before San Francisco 49ers Enterprises’ takeover is officially ratified by the EFL, which had been causing a delay.
However, it is now due to be finalised irrespective of whether the takeover is done first, meaning Farke would be in place for the first day of training on Wednesday after two days of pre-season testing.
As per the report, Farke flew into England on Monday night and will now be looking at tying up all the final details before being named as Leeds‘ new manager at some point today.
The 46-year-old has long been reported as Leeds’ leading candidate after the final interviews took place two weeks ago, but is now finally able to get to work at Elland Road.

This is clearly something that has been in the pipeline for a while but the wait for the EFL to approve the 49ers‘ buyout has now gone on long enough.
As such, Leeds know the importance of having their man for the start of pre-season, which is what they have managed to do and he can now starting implementing his ideas on the training pitch.
Farke will be handed the remit of securing an immediate promotion back to the Premier League with Leeds after relegation back in May.
He has already twice lifted the Championship title during his career, doing so twice with Norwich City, while playing an attractive brand of football.
His most recent job came at Borussia Monchengladbach, where he was sacked last month after finishing in 10th place in the Bundesliga.
