Wilfried Gnonto remains determined to leave Leeds United before the end of the transfer window.
But according to a report from Bild, his preferred destination is not actually Everton, but instead Bundesliga outfit Freiburg.
Everton are the club who have been the hottest in pursuit of the 19-year-old throughout the summer, with Sky Sports reporting on Wednesday they have seen four bids turned down, the most recent of which was £25 million.

Gnonto has grown frustrated at Leeds’ reluctance to let him leave and as such, has refused to play in each of the Whites’ last two matches, and will also be absent against West Bromwich Albion this evening.
Daniel Farke has sent him to train away from the rest of the first team squad while the saga remains ongoing, and it appears to have taken another twist.
Gnonto reportedly favours Freiburg move over Everton
Freiburg were tenuously linked with a move for Gnonto earlier in the summer but at this stage, their interest has not firmed up into anything concrete.
However, as per this latest report from Bild, they do remain keen on doing a deal, with Gnonto said to be ready to reject other offers in favour of a move to the German side.

It is said, however, that Freiburg have acknowledged that Leeds are extremely intent on keeping him at Elland Road, and would have to smash their transfer record to meet the Whites’ asking price.
As such, Freiburg are already on the hunt for alternative attacking options, again strengthening Leeds’ chances of keeping Gnonto.
It is certainly going to be an interesting final two weeks of the window.
