Leeds United are not targeting moves for Manchester United’s Brandon Williams and West Bromwich Albion’s Grady Diangana.
That is according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, who claim reports linking Leeds with the aforementioned duo are ‘understood to be wide of the mark’.
As per the Independent, Leeds were said to be considering a move for Williams in their pursuit of a new left-back this summer, with Man United open to selling him.
Diangana, meanwhile, has been mentioned as a potential target for the Whites by Express and Star, with Leicester City, Burnley and Saud Arabian clubs also in the race.
However, it appears that neither will be making the move to Elland Road before the end of the window with Leeds focusing their attention on other players.
Leeds not targeting moves for Williams or Diangana
As per the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are still working on a number of new signings this month but are not expecting to have anything new in place before Cardiff City.
Left-back is certainly an area that needs addressing in Daniel Farke’s squad, but the Leeds boss is not seeking a reunion with Williams whom he had on loan at Norwich City.
Links to Diangana always seemed strange on the face of it with Leeds absolutely stacked with high quality options out wide.
Central midfield, centre-back and striker are all positions way ahead of a new winger in terms of Leeds’ priorities, and it appears as though the Whites are aligned with that.
Leeds are continuing to work quietly behind-the-scenes on signings this summer and hopefully a busy end to the window is in store.
