Steven Gerrard is interested in the vacant managerial position at Leeds United.
That is according to the Daily Telegraph, who also report Gerrard is among the names being considered by managing director Angus Kinnear.
Gerrard is said to feature on a shortlist that also consists of former Bournemouth boss Scott Parker, and West Bromwich Albion’s Carlos Corberan.
Leeds have also been linked with Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter, Regis Le Bris and Rob Edwards, though it remains to be seen how open they would be to dropping down a division.
Amid doubts regarding the interest of that quartet, Gerrard is indeed keen on succeeding Sam Allardyce in the dugout at Elland Road, who was told on Thursday he would not be offered an extension after his four-match interim period.

Gerrard recognises he may have to drop into the Championship to rebuild his reputation after such a poor spell at Aston Villa.
The former Liverpool midfielder had Villa in and around the relegation zone until his sacking in October, a position which was made to look pretty laughable after Unai Emery’s arrival, who guided them into Europe.
Despite Gerrard’s interest in the role, Leeds cannot afford to take a risk on someone whose stock is currently as low as it is, as the pressure for results would be on instantly.
Leeds need to find a manager capable of coming in and making an instant impact without the outside doubts that would come with Gerrard being appointed.
The likes of Potter, Rodgers or Corberan would all represent better appointments, even if it may take a little longer to convince them to make the move.
