Leeds United eventually progressed through to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 win over Plymouth Argyle.
Just like at Elland Road, Leeds were again held to a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes but the strength in depth in the end shone through as three goals in extra-time took the game away from the home side.
Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville were two of the players on the scoresheet for Daniel Farke’s side, while Georginio Rutter and an own goal also helped Leeds on their way.
Leeds created a plethora of chances throughout the match as they hit the post on three occasions in normal time, with the bulk of their quality coming from wide areas.
Speaking on BBC 1 before the game, Jermaine Beckford hailed Gnonto, Summerville and the injured Dan James as three players who are just impossible to defend against at this level.

“You look at Willy Gnonto, you look at Dan James, you look at Summerville, there’s lots of exciting players that you cannot defend against because they are all really quick. Every defensive manager says the hardest thing to defend against is quick players and that’s what Leeds have in abundance.”
Gnonto is back looking confident once again with his winner at Bristol City clearly having done him the world of good. His goal tonight was also full of quality.
Summerville, meanwhile, was an absolute difference maker off the bench in extra-time and Plymouth’s tired bodies really could not handle his pace on the counter.
James has enjoyed a fine season up to date but his injury may have come at the worst possible time for him, as he may find it difficult to get back in thanks to the form of Gnonto.
It will certainly be interesting to see how Farke handles the situation once he does return, which could arrive as early as this weekend.
