Journalist John Cross has spoken highly of Leeds United after their latest win in the Premier League.
Five games into the new season and Leeds United have seven points on the board, with two wins to their name following their biggest win of the season so far last time out.
Leeds United beat Wolves 3-1 thanks to goals from summer signings Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anton Stach and Noah Okafor, and now Daniel Farke finds his side sitting pretty in 12th place of the Premier League table.
Already there’s a four point gap between Leeds and the bottom three. Whilst there’s still a long way to go this season, Farke’s side are more than holding their own and getting their first goals from open play against Wolves will come as a huge confidence booster too.

John Cross backs Leeds United for safety after Wolves win
Speaking on Sky Sports News after the Wolves game, journalist John Cross was full of praise for Leeds, and for their summer signings. Leeds United spent £100million on new players this summer. Some of their recruitment has been questioned, but so far, Farke’s side are looking good, and improving too.
Cross says he thinks Leeds and Sunderland certainly have enough to stay up this season, saying: “I’m going to stand up for Leeds as well. What a terrific win yesterday [vs Wolves]. I love that header from Calvert-Lewin. That’s a classic centre-forward’s header and I think they recruited well and I think all three have got a chance, particularly Leeds and Sunderland.”

Neil Warnock has already given his Leeds United prediction
Every fan and every pundit will have their predictions for Leeds United this season. And so far, many have backed Leeds to beat the drop with West Ham tipped to struggle in the Premier League this season, potentially along with the likes of Brentford.
Speaking earlier in the month, Neil Warnock gave his relegation prediction for Leeds United and he too thinks Farke can keep the team up this season, once again citing the club’s transfer business as being key.
Warnock explained: “I like Daniel Farke. He got criticism for his time at Norwich. But he didn’t have any money, he had peanuts. So at least he has a chance, now. One or two good signings, they’ve got enough to stay up.”
Leeds’ deadline day was disastrous and it left a sour mood. But a good performance against Fulham, albeit ending in defeat, and then a brilliant win at Wolves has certainly changed the mood.
Up next for the Whites is a game against Bournemouth at Elland Road.
