Leeds United will go in search of their first win of the season at Ipswich Town this afternoon.

The Whites have picked up just two points from their opening three matches and face an Ipswich side who are one of just two teams with a 100% record.

Daniel Farke’s squad is set to have a much stronger look to the one that faced West Bromwich Albion last week, with Luis Sinisterra and Wilfried Gnonto both back in contention.

Leo Hjelde has also recovered from his head injury, while Joel Piroe could be involved after completing his £10.5 million move from Swansea City.

Here is a look at how Leeds could line up for the game.

Goalkeeper

Illan Meslier will almost certainly keep his place between the sticks ahead of Karl Darlow again.

Defence

Despite Hjelde’s return and Cody Drameh’s desperate push for minutes, Farke is likely to go with the same back four that started against West Brom.

That will see Luke Ayling and Sam Byram start either side of a central defensive partnership of Joe Rodon and Pascal Struijk.

Midfield

With Leeds still yet to strengthen their options in the middle of the park after Tyler Adams’ exit, Ethan Ampadu and Archie Gray look set to start together for the fourth league match in a row.

Attack

The front four is certainly where things start to get a little more complicated. Farke spoke of minor injuries to both Daniel James and Joe Gelhardt in his press conference and they could therefore drop out.

It is almost certain that Gnonto will not be handed a start but Sinisterra could come straight back into the XI on the left.

Jamie Shackleton is likely to keep his place on the right with Ian Poveda and Crysencio Summerville still out, leaving Georginio Rutter to start just behind the marquee new arrival Piroe, providing he has received international clearance in time.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Meslier; Ayling, Rodon, Struijk, Byram; Ampadu, Gray; Shackleton, Rutter, Sinisterra; Piroe
