Leeds United will be looking to rid themselves of a poor run of recent results on Friday night when we travel south to take on West Brom – and Daniel Farke could make four changes to his starting XI.
It has been a tricky couple of weeks for Leeds. Just one win in four, a huge 4-0 victory over Ipswich. But, the enormity of that win has been ruined by losses to Sunderland and Preston, a draw against Coventry.
Last time out, Illan Meslier was sent off and Karl Darlow will come in. Farke heaped praise on the signing, stating Darlow is a “brilliant lad” – but that the Leeds players may have to expect more long clearances.
Rotation may also come in to play. Leeds have played their fourth game in 14 days at Preston, and now take on West Brom just three days after the loss at Deepdale. Birmingham then, on Monday evening.

So, you would expect Farke to make a number of changes to his side on Friday. Archie Gray was one that came under criticism from Farke after the loss at Preston. He’s played 90 minutes 10 times in a row.
Gray needs a rest, and a moment to collect his thoughts. Perhaps, pushing Djed Spence over to the right of defence and bringing Sam Byram in is just what Leeds need at the back, to take on West Brom.
Ilia Gruev has got a bit more game time of late, and maybe he could come in for Glen Kamara. Willy Gnonto is sure to get a start eventually and Dan James has struggled in the last few Leeds matches.
So, four possible changes that Farke could make. Out go Meslier, Gray, Kamara and James. In come Darlow, Byram, Gruev and Gnonto, as Leeds look to get back to winning ways on Friday night.
