Phil Hay has reported on The Athletic’s website that Leeds United trio Diego Llorente, Robin Koch and Brenden Aaronson are all about to leave the club on loan – and join AS Roma, Eintracht Frankurt and Union Berlin temporarily.
Llorente, 29, is due to return to Roma after spending the second half of last season with Jose Mourinho’s side. A report from CDS over the weekend said that it is likely that there is going to be an obligation within his loan transfer.
Koch has rejected moves to Manchester United and Newcastle because he wants to be a leader at his next club, as per Kicker. Bayer Leverkusen and Frankfurt were fighting for Koch – but, Hay says he is set to join Frankfurt on loan.
Meanwhile, Aaronson is ‘poised’ for Union Berlin – after The Mail (July 1, p105) said Fulham had turned down a move to land the USA star on loan. Hay says Koch and Llorente were not present on Monday, at Leeds Beckett University.
Aaronson was scheduled to be missing anyway after his exploits with the USA National Team, following the end of the season. Koch and Llorente were supposed to be in attendance – but were not, as they close in on loan exits.

Llorente was an inevitability. Koch, perhaps, too. He is in the final 12 months of his deal. Now, he is set for Frankfurt. It is likely that Koch could end up going on a free if he does leave on loan – with his deal ending in June 2024.
Aaronson was maybe, one player Leeds might have decided to keep. But with Union Berlin in the Champions League next season, a move to the Bundesliga side has been accepted. All three then, are set to wave goodbye to Leeds.
