Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport claim Leeds United duo Rasmus Kristensen and Diego Llorente are ‘waiting’ to join Roma – with Llorente likely to have an obligation in his loan, while Roma will only have the option to sign Kristensen.
Llorente, 29, spent the second half of last season on loan at Roma and despite only playing 12 times, the Spaniard has clearly done enough to convince Jose Mourinho to re-sign him. He was a substitute in the Europa League final.
Kristensen, meanwhile, struggled in his first season at Leeds. Signed in a reunion with Jesse Marsch last summer, he was seen as the long-term replacement for Luke Ayling. But it did not take long for Ayling to start over the Dane.
Both players are expected to join Roma in due course. The report state both are waiting to join Roma, and that boss Mourinho wants deals done for both by the time Roma’s pre-season starts on July 10. They also discuss the details.
CDS say it is likely an obligation to sign Llorente at the end of the loan, or during, will be installed in his loan. In the loan for Kristensen, it is more likely an option will be in the right-back’s loan at Roma. No immediate, full fee for us.

Llorente was always expected to leave permanently this summer following relegation, and his loan at Roma. It is a bit of a surprise that Kristensen will be off. Earlier reports suggested he would be staying at Elland Road this summer.
But, it seems both will reunite at Roma in the coming days. Whether Leeds sanction moves for both players before the appointment of a new boss – likely to be Daniel Farke – is up in the air. Hopefully, a manager is appointed soon.
