Daniel Farke has told the Leeds United hierarchy they need to add goals to their side this summer.
That is according to Phil Hay of the Athletic, who reports Farke advised Whites bosses during extensive talks with the club that adding firepower to his squad is a necessity during the transfer window.
In both of his Championship title winning campaigns with Norwich City his side were among the top two scorers in the division, netting an incredible 93 in 18/19 and 75 in 2020/21.
On each occasion they had a striker in Teemu Pukki who was able to find the net on a regular basis, scoring 29 and 26 goals in those two respective campaigns.
Leeds are almost certain to lose their leading marksman from last season in Rodrigo, who netted 13 Premier League goals, a tally considerably more than any of his teammates.

Excluding Rodrigo, Leeds currently have Patrick Bamford, Joe Gelhardt and Georginio Rutter as options who could lead the line this season.
However, Bamford’s form and fitness has been extremely unreliable in the last two seasons and Leeds cannot afford to make the same mistake of expecting him to be their first choice number nine for a full year again.
Gelhardt and Rutter, meanwhile, are both excellent options in their own right, but arguably do their best work just off the front man due to their dribbling ability.
With that in mind, it is paramount Leeds bring in a new marquee striker this summer who is capable of scoring in excess of 20 goals, which would allow Bamford to play a supporting act.
Cameron Archer and Joel Piroe are among the best options based on their performances in the Championship last season, though their availability and price remains to be seen.
