Al-Rayyan remain confident they will beat both Everton and Fulham to the signing of Leeds United attacker Rodrigo.
That is according to journalist Bruno Andrade, who reports Al-Rayyan are aware of interest from Premier League outfit Fulham, but still believe they will win the race for his signature.
Andrade confirmed last week Rodrigo was close to a move to the Qatari side after entering advanced negotiations with Leeds, and that situation has not changed despite growing interest from England’s top-flight.
On top of Fulham’s aforementioned interest, Everton are also keen on signing the 32-year-old as they look to bolster their options in attack this summer.
According to Football Transfers, they want to offer Rodrigo a two-year-deal to move to Goodison Park, though are currently being ‘hamstrung’ by their current ownership situation.

As per Andrade, Rodrigo will be available for just £3 million this summer due to a clause in his contract that became active after Leeds’ relegation.
He also has just 12 months left to run on his contract at Leeds and given his age, may be about to secure his last big contract as a player.
As such, this makes the decision on who to join a difficult one for Rodrigo. A move to Qatar would undoubtedly see him earn a huge deal, though could end his hopes of becoming a consistent figure in the Spain squad after making his return last month.
A Premier League switch, however, would maintain his chances of playing at international level, providing he continues to find the net at the same rate as last season.
Either way, he is a player Leeds will be eager to get off the wage bill and the sooner a deal is struck with someone, the better.
