Phil Hay and Graham Smyth share latest, as speculation intensifies over 24-year-old’s Leeds exit

Both Phil Hay and Graham Smyth have maintained nothing has yet been agreed for Luis Sinisterra to leave Leeds United for Bournemouth.

Hay provided the update on the Athletic’s live transfer blog, where he claimed Bournemouth have submitted an offer, but an agreement has not yet been reached.

Smyth, meanwhile, echoed that statement in the Yorkshire Evening Post, while adding there are other Premier League admirers for him, as well as overseas interest.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported that Bournemouth had reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with Leeds over a loan deal.

He claims Sinisterra is set to travel south to undergo a medical after accepting the terms of a move, with the two clubs just having to finalise the details of a transfer.

Hay and Smyth say no deal agreed for Sinisterra yet

Even with these updates from Hay and Smyth, it feels inevitable that Sinisterra will be a Bournemouth player come 11pm tonight.

It is not often when Romano gives a ‘here we go’ that a deal does not materialise, though that was the case with Tyler Adams’ proposed move to Chelsea.

It would be a bitter pill for Leeds to swallow to lose Sinisterra this close to the deadline, particularly on loan, like so many have this summer.

Daniel Farke had been confident he would stick around in his press conference earlier today, but it would appear that optimism is now fading.

The only thing that can be hoped now is either a deal does not go through in time, or Leeds have just about left themselves enough time to find a decent replacement.
