Daniel Farke’s job security as Leeds United manager is strong at the moment. Things can change quickly in the Premier League, but right now, Farke is impressing as Leeds manager.
There were doubts about Farke going into the Premier League, largely due to his six wins in 49 games as Norwich City manager in the top tier. But he has since watched Leeds secure eight points in six games.
If matches finished on the dot at 90 minutes, Leeds would have 11 points and sit above Man City in seventh place in the league table. However, their eight points see them sit in a comfortable 11th place.
There might be the often grumble about his substitutions now and then, but Farke has done a superb job on the whole at Leeds. But it would only be right that Leeds monitor potential replacements, just in case.

Two wins from two for Leeds United icon Pablo Hernandez
A contingency plan. Leeds have always kept tabs on Carlos Corberan, who is impressing over in Spain as Largie Ramazani’s Valencia manager. But another may have just thrown himself onto the Leeds radar.
Pablo Hernandez has taken over as interim manager of boyhood club Castellon, for the last two matches. He got off to a dream start, a 3-1 away win over Cultural Leonesa, a club that has had Leeds connections.
Then, on Monday night, Hernandez made it two wins from two. A 1-0 win away at Leganes, securing his side’s first two wins of the season and six of their eight points in the second tier of Spanish football.

Castellon still yet to make a decision on Hernandez
It had been a woeful start to the season for Castellon. Six games without a win, two draws and three losses for Castellon before a change was made in the dugout. Hernandez had been managing the 21s.
Monday night was a superb win for Castellon, against a side that have been in La Liga in recent years. Hernandez is keen to remain on as Castellon manager, but is happy to return to his role as 21s boss.
“If I am asked to continue, I will be delighted. I will try to contribute everything I can to the players and the team. If I am asked to continue, then perfect. If not, I will continue doing my job in the squad.”
Hernandez looks set to remain until Saturday at least, when Castellon return for a home game against Sporting Gijon. A third win in three has got to tempt Castellon into appointing him permanently.
