Archie Gray was linked with a move away from Leeds United ahead of and during January. But he signed a new contract at Elland Road – and has said he was never thinking about anywhere else.
The 17-year-old has been superb for Leeds. A contender for Player of the Season so far given his age, and just how important he has been to Daniel Farke‘s side. He has played 32 times in all competitions.
His form has not gone unnoticed. Not only has Gray gone from playing for England’s U17 side, to a debut for the U20 outfit this season – but big Premier League clubs are also interested in the Leeds ace.
Manchester United and Liverpool recently, were linked with the £50m-rated man. Tottenham are also said to be keeping an eye on Gray. But, of course, Gray penned a new deal until the summer of 2028.
Speaking on the latest official Leeds podcast, Gray was posed with a question – asking him about that new deal and host Matt Lewis said there must have been interest from other clubs. Gray responded.

“I’m a Leeds fan. There’s nowhere else I want to be, I wasn’t thinking about anywhere else. I just want to play here and enjoy my time here and try to help us get back to where we belong,” Gray said this week.

With a new deal sorted and doubt over his future now put to one side, Gray can focus on the rest of the season. It is just what Leeds needed to do with Gray, allowing him to focus on matters on the pitch.
There was never any concern that Gray would be going but with eyes on him, and with his previous deal only going until June 2025 – there was always a chance. Now, Leeds can count on Gray for the future.
