Alan Brazil has told TalKSPORT has received information regarding the future of Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou amid reports that Leeds United are interested in bringing him down south – stating that he is set to sign a new deal.

It seems to be, at the moment, that any manager Leeds show interest in – ends up in a new deal for that manager in question, or he rejects us publicly. The first, being Carlos Corberan – who has signed a new deal with West Brom.

Then, came Andoni Iraola. Rayo Vallecano blocked his exit. Marcelo Gallardo, out of work after leaving River Plate in December, has rejected a move because he does not want to join a side now. That, and he doesn’t speak English.

On Friday, Feyenoord manager Arne Slot spoke about his future – stating he will be remaining at Feyenoord. He believes he is building “something beautiful” at the Eredivisie leaders. Postecoglou is another linked with Leeds.

The Record say Leeds are interested in Postecoglou. But with the Aussie leading Celtic to a second successive title, it was always going to be unlikely. Now, Brazil says he has received a text saying Postecoglou is signing a new deal.

He said: “I’ve just had a text and I’ll not say who from but Ange Postecoglou is going to sign a new contract at Celtic, he’s going nowhere,” on TalkSPORT this morning – as quoted by the Scottish newspaper Daily Record.

Brazil: Postecoglou set to sign a new Celtic deal amid Leeds reports

Postecoglou – who has impressed Mark Viduka while at Celtic – is seen as having similarities to Marcelo Bielsa, as per the Record. So, clear as to see why Postecoglou is a target at Elland Road. But he is similar to Slot, right now.

Slot is at the top of the league in Eredivisie. But he has rejected a move. So, why would Leeds think there would be any difference in Postecoglou leaving Celtic. He is not going to leave Parkhead and Brazil’s update is proof of that.
