The Daily Record report that Leeds United see similarities in Marcelo Bielsa and Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou but the Scottish champions are confident that the Aussie gaffer will remain in Glasgow – despite being on Leeds’ radar.
Postecoglou, 57, is impressing as Celtic manager. He has starred in his role as the Bhoys boss, winning the League in his first season. That is, despite Steven Gerrard guiding Rangers to the title without a League defeat, the season prior.
Celtic sit nine points clear at the top of the Premiership, as things stand. Postecoglou remains on course to secure the treble – the first time since the Brendan Rodgers era. Understandably, Celtic are confident he is happy and will stay.
But the Record, like many other reports, state Leeds are showing interest. Interviews are underway and Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has flown in from Italy to conduct the search for a new manager. Postecoglou is being considered.
Leeds have missed out on one of their targets in Carlos Corberan, who has signed a new deal at West Brom until 2027. The Record state Celtic are confident, but Leeds are interested as they see similarities between him and icon Bielsa.

So, where are we with Leeds’ pursuit of a new manager? Well, Leeds are in the interview process. Radrizzani has hinted that a decision could be made this morning. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet – replying to a Leeds fan on Twitter.
The current bosses linked with Leeds, after Corberan signed a deal, include Rayo’s Androni Iraola. Raul has also, chose not to join Leeds. Steven Gerrard, Vincent Kompany, Ralph Hasenhuttl and plenty of others have been loosely linked.
But the front runner, after the decision made by Corberan, is without doubt – Iraola. The Rayo manager has been good for the La Liga club, on a shoe string. He worked under Marcelo Bielsa, and played alongside Jack Harrison in MLS.
