Andrea Radrizzani has responded to a Leeds fan on Twitter on Tuesday evening – telling him that the club could make a breakthrough in talks over a new manager to replace Jesse Marsch either later tonight, or tomorrow morning.
Radrizzani – who still controls a majority stake in Leeds, owning 56% while the San Francisco 49ers own 44% – is said to have jetted in to Yorkshire to help make a decision on the new manager. Interviews had begun on Monday evening.
Numerous reports state that the club are speaking to managers currently at other clubs – rather than those out of work. Favourites for the job include Rayo Vallecano’s Androni Iraola, as well as West Brom gaffer Carlos Corberan.
A Leeds fan, with the handle @ConnorLUFC24, sent a message to Radrizzani on Twitter. He was asking the Leeds owner for an update regarding the club’s search to hire a replacement for Marsch. Radrizzani responded to his request.

Exciting news. It appears that Leeds are in the thick of talks and an announcement could be made sooner rather than later. It will be interesting to see who the club go after – with Corberan initially thought as the club’s first choice.
Of course, it would see Corberan return to the club having worked at Leeds from 2017, until 2020. He worked as the club’s U21 boss, as well as an assistant to Marcelo Bielsa. He left Leeds in the summer of 2020, to join Huddersfield.
He starred at Huddersfield, joining Olympiakos at the start of this season. Winning just two of 11 games, he has gone back to England with West Brom – winning 11 of 16, taking the struggling Baggies into top six of the Championship.
A serious contender. Meanwhile, Iraola has been excellent in the last few years at Rayo Vallecano. He worked under Marcelo Bielsa as a player at Athletic Bilbao, and alongside Jack Harrison at New York. He also has a real chance.
