Daniel Farke is quickly proving to be one of the best managers Leeds United have had since the turn of the millennium as he pushes us closer to an instant return and promotion to the Premier League.

The German gaffer has had to put with a lot since his arrival at Elland Road. Players wanting to leave, and others that found it easy to leave last summer – due to relegation loan clauses included in contracts.

Something which Farke has criticised, in press conferences. But despite limits on spending, and players coming and going, the German gaffer has got Leeds playing with an identity, with flair, with excitement.

Leeds leapfrogged Southampton into second on Tuesday night as The Saints saw their unbeaten run of 25 games come to an end against Bristol City. But, Russell Martin’s side still boast a game in hand.

However, Leeds are on a run of seven consecutive wins, in which we have kept six clean sheets. Things look good at Elland Road right now – and Neil Warnock is delighted to see Farke doing well as manager.

Neil Warnock loves Leeds United manager Daniel Farke

Warnock – a former Leeds manager – is currently in his second job of the season, taking over Aberdeen after leaving Huddersfield Town earlier in the season. He backed us for promotion at start of the season.

Now, he spoke to TalkSPORT on Thursday morning (15/02, 8.55AM) and gave his verdict on the race for promotion and says he would love to see Leeds get back up – effusive in his praise of our manager.

“I like Daniel as well. He’s one of my favourite managers. I would love to see him do well there. They’re massive. It would be good to see them back in because they were poor last time they were in,” he said.
