The Mail claim Adam Forshaw is prioritising to stay at Leeds United this summer despite interest from Saudi Arabia, other Championship clubs and European sides – but the midfielder has become a free agent in the last few weeks.
Forshaw, 31, has left Leeds on a free after five and a half years at the club. In that time, he managed just 91 games for Leeds – with injuries hampering his progress. Now, his contract has ended – but was invited back for pre-season.
Phil Hay has reported that there is an offer on the table for Forshaw, but he is yet to sign with the offer reflecting his injury issues since 2018. The Mail say Forshaw has an offer from newly-promoted Saudi Arabian side Al-Akhdoud.
And, there is interest from European and Championship clubs. So, Forshaw has a decision to make. But the report states that his priority is to remain at Elland Road, meaning he will need to sign a new deal. Time is ticking, though.

Leeds need midfielders, firstly. Weston McKennie and Marc Roca have gone. Tyler Adams remains but the chances are that clubs will come in for the USA skipper – and an exit is likely. Ethan Ampadu joins for an initial fee of £7m.
Archie Gray and Darko Gyabi will come in, while Lew Bate and Jamie Shackleton are back after loans at Oxford and Millwall. But Leeds need depth, a bit of experience, a player with Championship promotion know how. Forshaw, then.
Even if he does not start, having Forshaw in the side makes sense. A first-class attitude off the pitch, and excellent in the dressing room. He knows Leeds. It is a no-brainer to keep Forshaw, even if he is only handed a year’s deal.
