With Leeds’ run of fixtures, inevitably, Farke will eventually lose his job over the winter period. It feels almost impossible that Leeds will get anything out of the games against Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Lose all three, and that will be eight losses in nine. Speaking on The Managers podcast, McCarthy says he feels sorry for Farke but admits that the German is in a “tough” position with the next three games.
“I really like Daniel Farke. They played well, but they conceded straight after half-time. Doesn’t matter how well you play; it’s all about results. It looks tough for him. Not getting any easier, with the games next.”

Who is being touted as a replacement for Daniel Farke?
While there is plenty of noise regarding the sacking of Farke, there has been little talk of who could replace the Leeds manager. Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou are the two currently out of work.
Bo Svensson and Marco Rose have been suggested as possible contenders, while Ally McCoist touted Steven Gerrard with the role. Valencia boss Carlos Corberan is one Leeds have always kept tabs on.
As things stand, it is likely Farke remains in the dugout against Man City on Saturday and if Leeds can provide a competitive performance and avoid a drubbing, he may well continue. But it feels inevitable.
