Max Verstappen issues two-word Leeds United message amid Silverstone Grand Prix

With Leeds United’s promotion back to the Premier League, it builds more attraction towards the club.

This can help with signings this summer as the 49ers look to complete an ambitious master plan.

With this, it entails a potential £150m transfer budget to spend, but the jury is still out on whether this amount will be used.

But Leeds being back in the top flight just feels right, as it’s where Daniel Farke’s side belongs.

Someone who seems to be a big fan of Leeds is Max Verstappen, as he’s issued a two-word message.

Max Verstappen’s two-word Leeds United message

Being Red Bull’s main driver in Formula One, you’d expect some type of connection with the 49ers due to their deal with Leeds.

The Dutchman has dominated the F1 scene for the last four years now, as Leeds’ owners will hope to do the same in the Premier League in years to come.

In fact, they hope to go one step further as Paraag Marathe wants Leeds to compete in Europe.

Verstappen might hope for the Whites’ success, being a part of Red Bull’s sporting family, and certainly thinks well of the West Yorkshire outfit.

When guessing football clubs’ badges on Red Bull’s TikTok page, Verstappen got to one that looked like Leeds’ famous crest.

The four-time World Championship winner guessed correctly, but followed it up with a kind remark about the club, saying: “Very lovely”.

Leeds could now jinx Max Verstappen’s form again

Despite there being a connection between the Dutch driver and Leeds, Verstappen might have to tread lightly after the mention of Leeds again.

In July, Verstappen met up with a few of the Leeds squad members after the Silverstone Grand Prix took place in 2024.

He posed with the likes of former player Georginio Rutter before his move to Brighton and captain Ethan Ampadu, as there were even joke suggestions he would sign for Leeds.

However, a jinx came to Verstappen after this photo, as the Dutchman didn’t win a F1 race since before the photo was taken, when he held up the Leeds shirt.

He eventually ended this woeful run in November 2024, but after mentioning Leeds again ahead of Silverstone 2025 this Sunday, it’s not looking good for Verstappen.
