Mateo Joseph makes exciting prediction about new Leeds United star Largie Ramazani

Largie Ramazani was handed his Leeds United debut on Saturday afternoon as The Whites secured a second win of the season against Hull City at Elland Road.

One of eight summer signings made by Leeds after deals for Ao Tanaka and Isaac Schmidt were done on deadline day, 23-year-old Ramazani came off the bench on Saturday with Leeds leading Tim Walter’s Hull.

Leeds made it three clean sheets in a row after conceding three goals to Portsmouth and then three to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup. Leeds have now stopped West Brom, Sheffield Wednesday and Hull.

Mateo Joseph’s first goal of the season, followed by a Joel Piroe’s first of 2024-25 was enough for Leeds to win all three points and remain unbeaten in the league going into the September international break.

Joseph backs Ramazani to shine in a Leeds shirt after £10m move

Ramazani described Elland Road as his new home on Instagram, posting after his debut. The Belgian ace also said the fans were “unreal”, as he was introduced to Leeds fans by Daniel Farke for the first time.

He was one of three new players to make their debuts on Saturday, with Tanaka coming off the bench having been signed in time to be available to play while Manor Solomon started, laying on an assist.

In response to Ramazani’s post, Joseph made a prediction about the pocket-sized winger on his post. He thinks the former Almeria, Charlton and Man United man can excel at Leeds following his £10m transfer.

He said: “My brother is going to smash it”, while Joel Piroe, Junior Firpo and Wilfried Gnonto also reacted.

Daniel Farke says Ramazani is already being judged “unfairly”

Following the exits of Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, Farke wanted four new signings and he got them. Two attacking players to replace the aforementioned duo, a full-back and a new midfielder.

In came Ramazani, Solomon, Tanaka and Schmidt. Ramazani, given he is a small-sized, nimble-footed, speedy winger is seen as a replacement for Summerville but Leeds manager Farke thinks that is “unfair”.

“A great human being, really important, but unfair to call him a replacement for our top players that have gone. Rutter took half a season to adapt. I just don’t want to put too much pressure on his shoulders.”
