Daniel Farke has given a glowing verdict on Leeds United debutant Manor Solomon after the win over Hull City.
Solomon was handed his first start for the Whites after joining on loan from Tottenham on Tuesday and wasted no time in showing his class.
The 25-year-old was arguably the shining light for Leeds on the day and looked way too sharp for Hull City’s defence right from the off.
Solomon had actually began to tire a tad due to his understandable lack of match sharpness, but it was his moment of magic just after the hour mark that helped break the deadlock.
After beating two men like they weren’t there down the left-hand-side, Solomon delivered a brilliant cross towards the front post for Mateo Joseph to steer home his first of the season.
Farke on Solomon’s training performances at Leeds
Having not played competitively in almost exactly 11 months, and on the back of just a couple of training sessions, it was a bit of a surprise to see Solomon in the starting XI.
Fellow new signing Largie Ramazani seemed the more likely option considering he has played already this season, and had been at the club since last Thursday.
However, based off Leeds’ YouTube video of his first day alone, Solomon was looking very impressive in training off that left-wing.
Solomon was very much able to transfer that into a match setting, and speaking in his post-match press conference, Farke says it was how quickly he picked up a ‘rhythm’ training as to why he started.
He said: “Solomon has experience in England. He has shown a lot. He was a bit in his rhythm already. I was sure he could deliver with his experience and he did. It was also crucial to give that perfect assist. He looked sharp in training.”

Neil Redfearn says Solomon already looks too good for Championship
Farke was not the only one to heap the praise on the full debutant as former Whites boss Neil Redfearn claimed it became evident very quickly how he looks a cut above the Championship.
He said: “We have actually seen the majority of the new signings today. I thought Manor Solomon was probably the man of the match to be honest. He’s got a quality that is better than this level, you can obviously see that.
“Initially in the first 20 minutes it was like tackling smoke. He was unplayable at times. All those messages are good messages.”
