Marc Roca has already done something at Real Betis which he failed to do in his entire Leeds United career

Marc Roca wasn’t remembered for having a successful time at Leeds United as the Spaniard has improved since leaving Elland Road.

This comes as a shock after Roca struggled for Real Betis since leaving Leeds, but the turnaround has been strong from the former Whites midfielder.

Roca had a dire spell with Leeds enduring the Whites’ 2022/23 Premier League campaign after his move from Bayern Munich.

But it was never to be for the 28-year-old who put in below-par performances as Roca did everything to leave Leeds last summer.

This obviously came true with his move to Betis, as Roca has now done something remarkable at his new club.

Marc Roca has done something which he failed with at Leeds United

It’s clear the Spaniard has had a turnaround since Roca’s nightmare start at Betis.

Former Leeds star Roca has performed for Betis since then and it only gets better for the Whites flop after Sunday’s revelation.

One thing that is becoming common with Leeds and Man United is how their flopped players are performing so well with Betis as along with Antony, Roca sparkled in the Spanish side’s 3-0 win against Real Sociedad.

The midfielder grabbed two second-half goals after being substituted for Tottenham’s Giovanni Lo Celso, proving to Leeds they might have made a mistake.

Leeds want rue Roca’s sale after dismal Elland Road spell

A few Leeds fans will be happy for Roca after he’s found his form for Betis.

Whether that’s enough to be asking the 49ers to buy him back is another question, as his numbers after his one season in Yorskhire tells the story.

The 28-year-old does seem to be finding his feet, but you wouldn’t fancy him to compete with Leeds’ current options in midfield.

Roca wanted Leeds to be promoted last season but it just never quite worked with the player and the club.
