Manor Solomon is loving life at Leeds United as the winger returns to his best form, and Leeds United fans are loving what he is producing on the pitch in recent weeks.

It has been a difficult 18 months for Solomon. Joining Tottenham in the summer of 2023, the winger tore his meniscus after just six competitive outings and was forced to undergo operations and 12 months out.

He joined Leeds on loan last summer to get game time and the first half of the season saw a rusty version of Solomon used as a rotational option. But over Christmas and the new year, he is returning to his best.

Five goals and assists in five games has seen Solomon become undroppable as Leeds pursue automatic promotion to the Premier League. He has been speaking on his fiancee’s new podcast this week.

Manor Solomon shares what surprised him about Leeds United

Every player that joins Leeds always points to the fanbase as a reason for their move to Elland Road and Solomon was no different. But, Solomon has said as time has gone on, the fans have now surprised him.

Not many that are unaware of the Leeds atmosphere can truly realise the ferociousness and velocity of the noise produced at Elland Road. But telling In Dana’s Living Room, Solomon says it has shocked him.

“I was surprised by the club. By its size, by the fans. I knew it was a very good club with a lot of fans. Amazing, but I didn’t know how much. I have fun with the crowd and the people at the club,” he said.

“They are very warm. People in the north of England are a bit warmer than in London. And the club is very homely and warm. The fans are amazing and the atmosphere in the stadium is amazing. Really surprised.”

All the signs are pointing to a possible permanent Solomon deal

Solomon himself hints at a possible permanent switch from Tottenham to Leeds in the interview, due to his desperation to get into the Premier League with the club. The Whites are clear by two points in first.

Graeme Bailey told LeedsUnited.News it is down to Solomon to convince Leeds of a permanent deal with his performances and he is certainly doing that. If there is a deal to be done, Solomon is proving why.

Promotion would be a necessity given he is earning £54,000 a week at Tottenham, of which Leeds will be paying a portion of – if not, all. But, if Leeds do go up, that will be affordable and Leeds can sign him.
