Daniel Farke remains unsafe at Leeds despite a promising performance away to Manchester City on Saturday.

The German has now only overseen one win in the last eight Premier League games, and is at risk of losing his job as Leeds sit 18th in the table. The Guardian even believe Leeds could take action if the 49-year-old loses to both Chelsea and Liverpool this week.

Brendan Rodgers is an option being considered by the 49ers after they wanted to hire the Northern Irishman in 2023 ahead of Daniel Farke.

Now – according to TEAMtalk – another option has been put to the 49ers by Red Bull in Zsolt Low.

Red Bull have now suggested the Hungarian coach as an option to replace Farke.

There is no mention about whether the 49ers actually admire Low themselves like they do Rodgers, and it remains to be seen whether the suggestion is followed up with a concrete approach.

Low has never actually managed a side himself, but can boast a strong CV in coaching which includes spells working under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

The 46-year-old did oversee eight games in charge of RB Leipzig at the end of last season as Interim Manager, winning two and drawing three of those matches.

Low coached 13 goals out of his side while conceding 17 – averaging 1.13 points per game.

The 49ers need to learn from Andrea Radrizzani bringing Jesse Marsch to Leeds United

This would be a bizarre move given the circumstances.

Daniel Farke hits back after outside noise at Leeds United

“I’m not focused on myself. I mentioned outside noise. I quite like that, then the outside noise is a bit more on the manager and not on the players.

“So for me, I’m just fully focused on my team, how to help my team, how to back my team, how to lead my team.

“They need a leader who will stay calm and is not thinking about himself or what it means for his own career.”

Like Jesse Marsch when Leeds hired him in February 2022 – a move which turned out to be a disaster – Low also has no experience of managing in the Premier League.

It would therefore be an incredibly bold move to hand the 46-year-old the task of keeping Leeds in the Premier League, even if he is considered to be a bright prospect in the world of coaching.
