Luis Sinisterra has put an end to any lingering doubts regarding his future at Leeds United by responding to a question during a quick-fire Q&A on the club’s Tik Tok – saying he wants to get Leeds back in the Premier League.
Sinisterra, 24, was expected to be one of a number of players leaving Leeds this summer. It comes after scoring seven goals in 22 games – but perhaps, the injuries he suffered has put clubs off. He has a contract until 2027.
Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan have been loosely linked with the ex-Feyenoord man. But, Colombian outlet AS recently said that Sinisterra intends to remain at Leeds, performing a bit of a u-turn from the start of the summer.
Certainly, the Colombia star has started for Leeds in all four pre-season games – Manchester United, Monaco, Forest and Monaco. Ahead of Sunday’s opener against Cardiff, Sinisterra answered questions on Leeds’ Tik Tok.
Alongside Charlie Cresswell and Dan James – both of whom are set to play key roles after returning from loans in London – Sinisterra responded when asked what his aims are for the season: “Get back to the Premier League.”
Luis Sinisterra ends any doubt on Leeds future during Tik Tok Q&A
Sinisterra will be a cheat code in the Championship. He is a player that is far too good for England’s second tier and that makes the possibility of a club coming in for him ever-present. There is always a chance he leaves Elland Road.
But his involvement during pre-season, and Daniel Farke’s way of playing, are pointers in the direction of Sinisterra staying put. His comments suggest he is staying put and that is a massive boost for us, and our promotion hopes.
