Long-term Leeds target Adama Traore is technically a free agent after his Wolves deal ended on June 30 and Roma are in talks to land the Spain star – a move that would see him team up with Diego Llorente and Rasmus Kristensen.
Leeds have been regularly linked with 27-year-old Traore, largely due to Victor Orta’s admiration of the player. He signed Traore for Middlesbrough. We were last linked with the winger in December, with 90Min suggesting as much.
Of course, Orta has gone and so has our interest in the player – especially, in the event of relegation. Forza Roma, among many other outlets from Italy claim this week, Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto is in talks to sign Traore.
Llorente and Kristensen, meanwhile, are on their way to Roma. Llorente is set to return after spending the second half of last season on loan with Roma – likely to be with an obligation. Kristensen, a loan with an £8.5m option (CDS).

A move to Roma would be a superb one for Traore. The Wolves winger has never really hit the heights expected of him, other than his superb form during the 20-21 season. A year in which he had a hand in 18 goals in 54 games.
A season in which Wolves reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League under Nuno Espirito Santo. There is a serious player in Traore, if he finds the right club. Roma might unlock that, alongside Llorente and Kristensen.
Roma have made a knack of signing players from the Premier League of late. Nemanja Matic, Chris Smalling, Tammy Abraham, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Rui Patricio and others. Now, they could add Traore, Kristensen and Llorente.
