Leeds United are interested in Adama Traore, with 90min reporting that a host of clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, want the Wolves star ahead of his contract expiring next summer.
It says a lot about Adama’s game that the 26-year-old has already had a more prolific campaign in front of goal than last season. His tally for this term stands at just two goals, with one coming in the Premier League.

Clearly, there is an extremely talented player in there somewhere. The Spain international spent the second-half of last season on loan with Barcelona. And of course, he boasts an extraordinary amount of pace.

But it is probably not a huge surprise that he is only going to leave Molineux permanently in the year in which his contract expires.

90min reports that Tottenham want Adama, with Antonio Conte a big fan. Meanwhile, Inter, Napoli and Atletico Madrid are all admirers and could look to discuss a pre-contract deal in January.
But the report adds that Leeds are keen. Victor Orta likes the player having previously signed him for Middlesbrough.
When Leeds signed Helder Costa from Wolves, we did so at a time when Costa had endured a couple of frustrating years where he struggled to build on his superb season while on loan at Molineux.
Ultimately, that move proved to be a disappointment. Costa did play an important role in our promotion push. And he probably would have played a lot more in the Premier League were it not for the signing of Raphinha.
But Costa – who remains on the club’s books – did not justify the £15 million fee.
Signing Adama would potentially evoke memories of that deal. We would not be landing a player Wolves would be particularly bothered about losing, it seems.
There is a difference. You would imagine that he would cost nothing like £15 million if he moves in January. And Adama is someone who has been described as an ‘incredible‘ player by Pep Guardiola of all people.
If everything clicks, he would be an unbelievable signing, all things considered. But there is no question that many fans would be very underwhelmed if he did join.
