The Championship title is finely poised but Leeds United’s rivals Burnley have just suffered a huge blow.
There are just five fixtures remaining in the Championship season and it couldn’t be tighter at the top of the table.
Leeds United currently hold the summit following their return to winning ways at Middlesbrough on Tuesday, but only on goal difference.
It looked as if Daniel Farke’s side were in danger of slipping into the Play-offs after winning just one game in six beforehand, but Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United have lost their last two matches to give them a lifeline.
Burnley also dropped points midweek in a stalemate at Derby County, which proved even more costly due to an injury suffered by Lyle Foster.
The forward came on off the bench but had to go off after just three minutes after hurting his shoulder.
Burnley boss Scott Parker has admitted it doesn’t ‘look too good’ for him.

Speaking ahead of Burnley’s crucial match with Norwich City on Friday night – something else Parker isn’t happy with – that could see the Clarets leapfrog Leeds again, Parker provided an update on Foster.
He said: “It’s not looking too good for Lyle. We are looking for a second opinion, thankfully, it’s not as bad as we feared.
“He hasn’t dislocated it but there is still hope that he could play again this season.”
The 24-year-old has been a key member of Parker’s side, with 8 goal contributions in 30 games.
Burnley are also without Jonjo Shelvey, Bashir Humphreys, Aaron Ramsey, Enock Agyei, Jordan Beyer and Mike Tresor.

Leeds United have injury worries as well
Burnley aren’t the only team suffering injury hardship as a gruelling campaign catches up with players and Leeds have several key stars sidelined as well.
The biggest of which is Dan James, who went off at Boro with a hamstring strain after scoring the decisive goal just two minutes in.
Speaking after the game, Farke provided an update on James’ status: “He had a problem with his hamstring, took him off not to risk anything.
“Might be turnaround for next game is too quick. As it stands, it doesn’t look too good.”
Additionally, Joe Rothwell and Pascal Struijk are sidelined.
