It’s now 11 games since Leeds United suffered defeat and that will be a key factor going into Monday night’s Championship showdown against Burnley, in the race for promotion.
Leeds have been magnificent over the Christmas period and into January. Despite failing to hold onto wins against Blackburn and Hull, Daniel Farke’s side can go four points clear of Sheffield United in 2nd.
With Sheffield United losing and Sunderland only managing a draw against Darko Gyabi’s Plymouth on Saturday, Leeds can put one hand on automatic promotion with a win at Turf Moor on Monday night.
Plenty of Leeds players are in form at the moment. Jayden Bogle might well be in the form of his life, while Dan James is thriving off the right flank. However, Manor Solomon is the shining light in this side.
Aidy White says Manor Solomon is showing why he is a cut above
The Israel star struggled at Leeds initially, off the back of a year off the pitch having torn his meniscus just six games into his Tottenham spell. Solomon joined Spurs in the summer of 2023 after a loan at Fulham.
Solomon has had a hand in nine goals in 21 games for Leeds, four goals and assists in his last three for Leeds. He starts on the left, though it is unclear who he will start in front of – Sam Byram or Junior Firpo.
Aidy White raved about the improving Solomon on The Square Ball: “He’s been tremendous hasn’t he. He had that dip around the injury, but since he’s come back he’s been one of our standout players.
“He’s now starting to show that cut-above quality from the Championship, not just his attacking play but how he keeps the ball, decision making, the way he moves his body. He rarely gives it away. A real threat.”

Over the years, Leeds fans have been guilty with falling in love with a loan player. It has become a known phrase on social media, the last of which was probably Ben White after his stunning loan during 2019-20.
Solomon is approaching that feeling among Leeds fans. If Leeds are to stand any chance of signing a player like Solomon, Premier League football is needed and Graeme Bailey has given his verdict on a deal.
Bailey told LeedsUnited.News that Solomon could join Leeds permanently in the summer but if he is to sign on, then it will be up to the player himself to earn it. Right now, Solomon is certainly doing that.
