Leeds United now have a number of positions that could do with strengthening this month.
Daniel Farke has already confirmed that left-back is an area of priority, while links to David Brooks would indicate that an inside right-winger/number 10 is also on the agenda.
Djed Spence’s early return to Tottenham Hotspur now also leaves them needing a right-back, and if Charlie Cresswell is to follow him out of the exit door, then a central defender could come in.
A position that does not look likely to be strengthened, though, is striker. However, a new report from Fussball Transfers has suggested an unnamed Championship club is set to make an offer for Aberdeen’s Luis ‘Duk’ Lopes.
Duk is actually a player Leeds sent scouts to watch in action back in August, with journalist Darren Witcoop reporting that the Whites were considering whether to make a move back in the summer.
Unnamed Championship club set to make Duk bid
As per the report from Fussball Transfers, Swiss side Young Boys had been leading the race for his signature, but negotiations have recently stalled.
Aberdeen have set an asking price of £2.6 million to sign Duk, while Young Boys aren’t willing to go over £2.1 million, which could open the door for this unnamed Championship side to make a move.

Leeds were not the only Championship side to send scouts to watch Duk in action earlier this season, with Southampton, as well as two others, also having done so.
Duk is primarily a centre-forward but can also play off the left, and given the depth Farke has in both of those positions, it would be a surprise if the club was Leeds.
It will certainly be interesting to see who this unnamed Championship club is and whether an offer prompts other sides to potentially make their move.
