Leeds United could launch a move for Aberdeen striker Luis ‘Duk’ Lopes before the end of the window.
That is according to journalist Darren Witcoop, who reports Leeds were among a host of Championship clubs who watched him in action in Aberdeen’s 3-1 defeat to Celtic on Sunday.
It is said that scouts from four Championship sides sent scouts to take a closer look at Duk over the weekend, with fellow relegated side Southampton also in attendance.
Based on Sunday’s performance, they will have certainly liked what they saw as Duk registered an impressive assist for Bojan Miovski to make it 1-1 in the first half.
Duk is regarded as one of the best players outside of the big two clubs in Scotland, having mustered up a strong tally of goals and assists since joining from Benfica in 2022.

In his debut campaign at Pittodrie last season, he scored 16 goals and provided six assists as Aberdeen finished third in the Scottish Premiership behind only Celtic and Rangers.
Leeds remain in the market for a new striker and have also been linked with the likes of Cameron Archer and Joel Piroe, but Duk would certainly be more of a left-field option.
Duk has often played in a front two at Aberdeen and so if Leeds were to bring him in, a more target-man like striker would also need to be brought in alongside him.
The 23-year-old is blessed with blistering pace and can play off the left-hand side, meaning he could also been seen as a replacement for the likes of Wilfried Gnonto and Luis Sinisterra if they get their wish of moving on.
Given his age, Duk still has plenty of room for development but his record in the Scottish Premiership suggests he would be an exciting addition.
